How can I accept Bitcoin / Crypto Payments - For Free?
First Let me say, there are two paths
There are always two paths. The first one is the simple one, and it's like PayPal or some other Tech Giant platform, that takes a percentage and adds a per transaction charge, to every dollar processed . It works exactly the same with Crypto Processors - Retail solutions.
That's NOT what we're about.
The second path is not as simple (although it's pretty user friendly). This is where you use an Open source solution like Bitcoin Core or some project that is runs on top of it. You can see an active example Here. The major benefit to this is No Fees.
FYI: There are Massive Benefits, a lot more benefits than I'm prepared to list in this short post.
So, on to the second path… A hosted Open Source solution will make you do a bit more work to set it up. But, you'll potentially save thousands, by NOT paying .30 per transaction + 2.9% (PayPal) or 20% (Fiverr or Only Fans). That's on every dollar processed. - Yuck!
Open Source Rules because there are No Fees. * Other than the regular BTC network fees, but those occur anyway (Often, it looks like retail processors may also, be adding a bit to the average network fee, to increase their profits - But, I can't say for sure).
So by, going the Open Source Route and doing this extra setup, at the beginning:
Now, It's just you and your customer both transacting directly and no one in between you.
No Bank, No PayPal, No Visa, No Master Card, No Only Fans, No Fiverr, etc. No Bank = No Fees
Because, You're not gonna charge yourself a fee, Right?
So Yes, You can absolutely accept Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies without paying any fees. It's just a bit more work at first (for setup). Then its identical to any other paid solution.
